Understanding Male Homosexuality

For the past twenty years the debate on the causes of male homosexuality have center around two polar conclusions, that homosexuality is the result of ones genetic or biological make-up or that homosexuality is a chosen behavior.   This session examines the truth that there are numerous factors including, biological, environmental and family dynamics that lead to the development of same sex desires.

 

Understanding Female Homosexuality

Although every woman dealing with female homosexuality is unique in her situation, there are a number of common "roots" existent in the lives of most women affected by lesbian issues.  This session examines the most common contributing factors including relational deficits, sexual abuse, gender role misperceptions, personality temperament, as well as various spiritual components.

 

Loving Homosexuals as Jesus Would - Testimony

Chad Thompson calls on the church to "become flesh" to the gay and lesbian community through "practical acts of kindness" and "unconditional love".  Thompson also teaches how to reach out to sexually struggling individuals within the church who are looking for the love and support of the local church but often don't share their struggle with others for fear of being rejected.

When Kirk was asked to speak at this conference, it was very important to him that no one get the impression that his struggle is behind him.  Kirk shares that every day is a struggle, but through the grace of God he has found a will to live and a hope for the future.  Kirk's story is raw and heart wrenching.
